We are writing to *invite you to the exhibition opening* of 'Nervous Systems: Quantified Life and the Social Question' at 7pm on March 10th at HKW in Berlin.

We would love it if you could join us for the official opening at Berlin's Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW). If you can't make it on the 10th, then the exhibition runs for two months (March 11 - May 09) so perhaps you can make it another time. There is a full programme of events; you might be interested in visiting us whilst we are working in 'The White Room' throughout the exhibition period, or at another time to join a talk, tour or workshop. The exhibition, exploring the question of what it means to live in a quantified society, has been co-curated by Tactical Tech co-founders Stephanie Hankey and Marek Tuszynski, in collaboration with HKW curator Anselm Franke. The exhibition also includes an interactive live installation by Tactical Tech called The White Room, so every Saturday, Sunday and Monday Tactical Tech staff will be there in person, giving sessions and available for consultations. https://tacticaltech.org/WhiteRoom

*ABOUT THE EXHIBITION* Nervous Systems is an exhibition that asks how the enormous amounts of data captured by billions of sensors from our everyday communications and movements are transforming our behavior, as well as our understanding of self and society.

*ABOUT THE WHITE ROOM* The White Room is a live installation by Tactical Tech. Every Saturday, Sunday and Monday the White Room is 'staffed': visitors can come in and explore their devices and data traces with workers at the Bar, or join a hands-on discussion or demo. https://tacticaltech.org/WhiteRoom

*TACTICAL TECH AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEMS EXHIBITION* For the past five years, Tactical Tech has been actively exploring the political questions that arise from living in increasingly data-oriented societies worldwide – from questions of the resulting shrinking free space of civil society, to accumulative disadvantage for marginalised communities.

In the exhibition, we reflect on the desire we all have as users to access digital technologies that make our lives more convenient and efficient, and the trade-offs this creates, and we look at emerging centers of knowledge, power and wealth and what challenges this new faith in data brings. We invite the visitor to explore, to experiment and - through hands-on sessions in the White Room – find themselves in these questions.
